The End of Violence focus starts into its second weekend with an international guest performance, an immersive concert performance by visual artist Jelena Jureša, who examines the issue of complicity in war crimes and the responsibility of witnesses. Trafó’s main stage is transformed into a Belgrade nightclub, where the story of an underground DJ unfolds, who was involved in paramilitary activities in the Yugoslav wars. Jelena Jureša’s APHASIA deals with questions that are of burning relevance today in light of atrocities in Gaza and Ukraine. After this tour de force of documentary immersion, Dávid Somló invites the audience to participate in The Smallest Passage, a meditative performance that explores the utopian possibilities of peaceful coexistence. Péter Kárpáti & friends’ new play Scabby Dog will delve into the psychological aspects of violence with its visionary ‘sin folkore’ in Trafó’s Studio, shown in a more intimate setting after its premiere in the Main Hall. The AHA Collective takes over the Club again with a performance installation created in collaboration with media artist Tamás Páll, exploring one of the most invisible yet pressing forms of violence: surveillance and the experience of being surveilled. Cyprien Gaillard's solo exhibition is open to visitors in the Gallery.
