What is acrobacy when you're eighty?
You don't just suddenly let yourself be carried by a stranger. It takes time, delicacy and special attention. Alexandre Fray, acrobatic base, takes these to meet Hungarian women old enough to be their grandmothers. They explore the fragility of acrobatics, examine relationships of trust and dependence, and stubbornly push the boundaries of what the body can do. A unique performance that highlights the beauty of vulnerability and offers an inspiring perspective on the strength of old age.
Alexandre Fray is a professional acrobat for 20 years, artistic director of the company Un loup pour l'Homme that he founded 15 years ago to devote himself to a renewed circus practice, rooted in acrobatic lifts, freed from gymnastics. In 2011 his emblematic Face Nord quartet (presented in Trafo in 2014) laid the foundations of his contemporary artistic approach, since the company premiered with 6 other shows. Alexandre has been leading the "Projet grand-mère" project since 2006, in which he questions his practice as a performer in contact with the elderly.
