Un loup pour l’homme (FR): Face Nord

Contemporary Circus Pass is valid

Foreword for the performance: “The acrobat doesn’t stop testing the limits of his body, pushing it in an endless fight with its physiological reality, gravity and laws of physics as opponents. Hopeless fight. Aware or not, the only goal is to delay the defeat, to postpone the moment when age, time will triumph over his power. The circus artist is a tragic hero, the futility of his fight gives him all its beauty. He can not resolve to accept his condition: his rebellion is his humanity.”

„Maybe it's just that boys like to break things. Un Loup Pour L'Homme's Face Nord, performed by four men who will travel the sweat spectrum from dry to damp to sodden in the course of the gruelling 60 minutes they spend under the public eye, is presented as a series of games or exercises meant to test the physical limits of the group onstage — asking more and more of them until, inevitably, they fail.” (sideshow-circusmagazine.com)
