DORKA FARKAS / HENI SUDÁR / ARTMAN - INCLUSIVE JAM

Dance is for everyone!

The inclusive jam is an extraordinary gathering where people of all abilities come together to dance and make music, creating a liberating and inclusive atmosphere. The event focuses on safety and the joy of collective creation, offering an accessible space where everyone can freely express themselves.

We warmly welcome everyone, whether you are a beginner, a professional dancer, a musician, a person with a physical or visual impairment, autistic, intellectually disabled, hard of hearing, living with psychiatric conditions, or simply someone open to the experience. Children, seniors, and anyone who wasn’t explicitly mentioned but feels the desire to explore and experiment with movement are also encouraged to join!

Our sources of inspiration: creativity, individuality, our limits, and, of course, some hip-hop music!

Participation is free, but registration is required.

Dorka Farkas is the current leader of  ArtMan Association, a performing artist, creative dance instructor, and body-awareness movement group leader. Since 2011, she has been a member of Hungary’s first inclusive contemporary dance company, Tánceánia, where she has also served as co-leader since 2014. Additionally, she has been working as a movement teacher and choreographer-director at the Baltazár Theatre since 2015. Over the past fifteen years, she has participated in numerous inclusive and community art programs as both a facilitator and organizer. She believes that dance is much more than what meets the eye and that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the power of self-expression and connection through movement. This belief led her to organize the first inclusive jam series in 2017.

Henrietta Sudár is a final-year special education pedagogy student who has been dancing for seven years, focusing primarily on house and hip-hop styles. She is a dancer and active member of the ArtMan Association’s Artmenők group. For her, dance is the most sincere form of self-expression, one without limits, and she believes that everyone should have the chance to experience it.

Dorka and Heni are both members of ArtMan Association, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. The association organizes educational, artistic, and therapeutic programs and was the founder of Hungary’s first mixed-ability contemporary dance company, Tánceánia Ensemble. Within their creative community, performers with diverse abilities—whether full, unique, or impaired—have been creating movement theatre performances for over 25 years. They believe that accessibility is not only essential in physical spaces but also in the hearts and minds of people.
