The End of Violence - Day 2
Péter Kárpáti & friends / AHA Collective & Páll Tamás / LAU / Vatsanah /
Cyprien Gaillard (FR/DE) / Dana Kavelina (UA)
The second day of The End of Violence focus starts off with the performance installation Set 4 created by the young dance collective AHA in collaboration with media artist Tamás Páll. This new work investigates one of the most invisible forms of violence: surveillance and attention economy, in both its physical and digital forms. In the Main Hall Péter Kárpáti & friends delve into the deep psychological aspects of violence with their new performance, which can be best described as ‘visionary crime folklore’. This work will be shown several times during the focus, in different spaces of Trafó (Club, Studio) adapted and transformed for each new situation. After Péter Kárpáti’s premiere, the evening will culminate in two special music acts: LAU plays live, combining techno and experimental electronics with vocals, and Vatsanah closes the day with a liberating cross-genre DJ set. The solo exhibition of French visual artist Cyprien Gaillard is open to visitors in the Gallery.
