Laura Tóth, aka LAU, is one of the leading figures in Hungarian electronic music. She DJs and holds workshops, specifically supporting female performers at the beginning of their musical careers. As part of The End of Violence focus, she will perform live, combining techno and experimental electronics with vocals.
Vatsanah's musical journey spans a decade, with recurring elements that intersect with her diverse genre-bending interests. Her sets are defined by the here and now, the given venue and audience. Her music is characterized by sophisticated transitions, from the multilayered sound of analogue synthesizers to grooves and bass runs. Her one-hour DJ set closes the day's program with liberating dance music that invites us to celebrate life.
LAU’s and Vatsanah’s acts play a special role in The End of Violence program: after a day of delving into challenging and heavy topics, they offer space for liberation, letting go, and the joy of physical presence. Music and dance create an opportunity for the audience to connect with their own selves and each other in a different way – through movement, rhythm, and shared experience. It offers a closing of the evening where participants can breathe a sigh of relief and be re-energized by the music, while the message of the event remains with them.
