2020Solidarity fundraising campaign

The Studio of Young Artists’ Association (SYAA) and Trafó Gallery, Budapest join the international solidarity project initiated by Between Bridges and its’ founder Wolfgang Tillmans, with the aim to help cultural and music venues, community projects, independent spaces and publications that are existentially threatened by the COVID-19 crisis.

Over fifty renowned international artists offered special edition posters for the campaign, for example: Marlene Dumas, Jeff Koons, Pierre Huyghe, Andreas Gursky, Wolfgang Tillmans, Luc Tuymans, Thomas Ruff and Anne Imhof, among others.

Between Bridges prints and transports the posters to Budapest, so that we can use the proceeds to support our organizations. The amount will be split equally between SYAA and Trafó Gallery and will be spent on operation costs and artist fees of these two nonprofit galleries. We hope that this joint campaign will be the first step towards further collaborations among local art institutions and organizations to support each other and the local artists in these current uncertain times.

Each poster will be sold for the price of 17 700 HUF (50 €) and is size A2 (59.4 x 42 cm). The posters are produced in an unlimited edition, but they will be only available until the end of the campaign (1st of July 2020). The purchased posters will be available for pick up at Trafó Gallery, Budapest, but we are also happy to mail them once the postal services have returned to normal (we will let you know the exact costs of delivery later on).

2020Solidarity posters are available in this campaign by the following artists: Alexandra Bircken, Melanie Bonajo, Elmgreen & Dragset, Simon Denny, Marlene Dumas, Andreas Gursky, Wade Guyton, Pierre Huyghe, Jeff Koons, Glenn Ligon, Karol Radziszewski, Anri Sala, Thomas Struth, Wolfgang Tillmans, Luc Tuymans, Gillian Wearing, James Welling, David Wojnarowicz.
