Lubomyr Melnyk is the creator of Continuous Music for Piano. His discovery of this remarkable NEW WORLD of the Piano signified a new age in music. He is one of the greatest pianists of all time --- not only because of his phenomenal finger work, but also because of his new visions for the piano that introduced astounding elements into piano playing.

His Continuous Music is a blend of four historic elements: Classical piano … plus Minimalist Drumming…. plus Martial Arts … plus Zen Meditation. With these 4 elements, Lubomyr does what no other pianist in all history could do … in fact, some consider him to be THE greatest pianist of all time --- because of his extraordinary virtuosity that enable him to create effects on the piano that no one has ever been able to do before! In the mid-70´s, he began working on new concepts of piano playing that combined the Classical piano technique with the transcendent philosophies of the Martial Arts, Tai Chi and Kung Fu.

Over the years, his mastery of the piano has taken the piano into completely new dimensions, with capacities that allow him to play at speeds that pianists never imagined were possible and create effects on the piano that have never been heard before …. This is why he is called “The Prophet Of The Piano” ! His deeply personal performances have amazed audiences all over the world … and his more technically advanced pieces have dumbfounded the piano establishment --!-- because they are virtually unplayable, even for the greatest concert pianists of the world! Lubomyr’s music creates a magical aural experience for his audience … a world that takes the beautiful Voice Of The Piano and blends it with a touch of mystical dimensions … and this is why people find his concerts to be so envigorating and valuable!
