A heart-stopping circus show unravels the profound beauty of self-discovery on a trans woman’s path.

The show is a journey through the memories of a transition by a talented aerialist. Diana Salles explores the liberating, but also agonising feelings of having murdered her former self. An experience that many trans people share when they finally leave behind the gender they were wrongly assigned. It is the physical and emotional strength it takes to recognise one’s own truth that carries her and the audience through breathtaking flights of fancy.

Through a multidisciplinary repertoire of circus disciplines such as aerials, dance, singing, and physical theatre, Diana Salles invites us to reflect on what it takes to honor one’s deepest truth.

The young Brazilian artist graduated from the renowned circus school ESAC in Brussels in 2018. With her first full-length piece, she brings a personal and intimate story to the stage that is (still) rarely addressed in circus. Diana Salles has been honoured with several awards, including the bronze award at the in Paris and the International Bursary Award at the Fringe Amsterdam Festival.
