VICSOR is a punk song, a cry, a shout, a collage and a beginning. A place where two females can escape from the hardships of their daily lives. A world fueled by stupid ideas, desire and feminine power. More doing, less thinking. An invitation to watch us go crazy, a permission to fall apart.

In society, women's roles are associated with images of caring, nurturing and passivity. In the traditional arts, representations of women are delicate, noble, soft – more about beauty than character. The classical woman is quiet, consolidated, kind, has no will of her own, no strong emotions, her value lies in her beauty and in what she can offer to others. Anger, on the other hand, is an active, aggressive emotion, about the individual and not about serving others. A woman cannot be angry or stubborn, she cannot put her own needs before others’. As women, we are taught from an early age that anger must not be given space, it must be suppressed. And when it does happen to come out, despite our efforts to keep it inside, we get the feedback that we are overreacting, being hysterical and we are probably just on our periods. How can anger build rather than destroy? How can we transform its power into creative energy? Where can we allow ourselves to experience the vulnerability that comes with anger?

Catch Collective is an artistic duo formed in 2023 with the aim of working together in a playful, equal manner. They seek to explore the boundaries between dance and performance art, and the balance between the performers’ and the viewers' enjoyment. The two founders, Anita Czakó and Csenge Csutak, started working together in their high school years and after a two year pause due to studies and living in different countries they had the chance to work together again that gave the starting point to their present duet and improvisational series Keep Me In The Loop. The third member of our collective: the looper pedal.

“We work with seemingly stupid and shitty ideas, investigate what it brings if we try them out before discarding them? What can come from a place where every idea is legit and has a place? How do we waste time in a productive way?”
