Who's playing whom? Csaba Molnár's performative manifesto, ars performativa, presented as a danced stand-up.
Emotional virtuosity in a personal story. Unruly entanglements of reality, memory, and fiction. The musical starting point is Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor, which has accompanied Csaba’s life since childhood. A crossover between contemporary dance, performance art, drag, stand-up, and lecture performance, it makes room for vulnerability and self-reflection alongside self-irony, absurdity, and humor.
Personiqué is a new stage in the long-standing collaborative creative process between Csaba Molnár and Nicole Clore. But is it even possible to tell someone’s story without constantly stepping into their shoes?
Csaba Molnár is a choreographer, performer and artist. His work explores the intersections of dance, performance, theatre and visual art. He often works with the body as a carrier of identity and personal and social histories, while play, humour, theatricality and pop-cultural references are central to his artistic world. He works both in Hungary and internationally. Recent works include The Show Must Go On / The Graduation, The Open House, various stages of the Game Changer project, and the award-winning Nicole Clore performance series, recently acknowledged with the Péter Halász Award.
