Juhász Adél’s newest solo I need help immediately draws on the experience of being an outcast. Tossed and turned between different emotional realities, it transforms misery into creativity. The performance was selected for several prestigious international programs and is part of the OFF program (Sélection Suisse en Avignon) of the world-renowned Avignon Festival in 2026.

"Driven by a keen sense of urgency, the spectacle consists of a hyper-frontal solo, performed very close to the audience that follows a completely unpredictable course shifting from dance to theatrical performance." (Jérôme Provençal, Les Inrocks)

"A face-to-face encounter in close proximity, walking a fine line between the constant danger of the unexpected and the total control over the fall." (Peter Avondo, Coups d'Œil)

I need help immediately is a choreographic piece, constructed in constant dialogue with its intricate musical web. Inspired by the fragmenting effects of postmodernity, the piece navigates a disjointed world saturated with stimuli. Control seems to be a recurring question: what freedom do we have in a system imposed on us? Adél Juház moves on the threshold and within the audience’s limits, creating a space of provocation, humour, and depth in close proximity. Drawing from hyperpop culture and demonology , the work channels sensory excess into an embodied act of defiance. The audience is invited into a vortex, a space where sensation, movement, and music converge, opening a field for reflection on existence.

Adél Juhász studied contemporary dance at the Budapest Contemporary Dance Academy and at La Manufacture in Switzerland. In her work, she combines expressive movement with intense, hallucinatory visuality. In 2021, she premiered her solo piece László Károlyné in Geneva, which was later presented in several European countries, including at Trafó as part of the 2023 Nextfest. She is a member of the OuinchOuinch collective and has also co-created international productions with various artistic collaborators. Her latest solo work, I Need Help Immediately, premiered in 2025. As a performer, she has worked with several influential artists, including Simone Aughterlony, Ceylan Öztürk, Júlia Vavra, Viktor Szeri, gergő d. farkas and Csaba Molnár

„Egy heves, sürgető érzés dominálta, hiperfrontális szóló előadás, nagyon közel a nézőkhöz, amely teljesen kiszámíthatatlan módon alakul, a tánctól a színházi jellegű performansz irányába csúszva.”

„Szorosan szemtől szemben, az állandóan leselkedő, ám váratlanul betoppanó veszély és a zuhanás teljes uralma közti vékony határmezsgyén.”
