Carol Ann Duffy, a Scot brought up in London, politically left-wing, and with a wonderful feel for idiom and contemporary culture, especially low-life, meets Sándor Zsótér the talented Hungarian director for the second time in the collaborative series of Trafó and the British Council. This time in the focus is Feminine Gospels (2002), in which Duffy hasn't tried to write the daughter of The World's Wife. She says, \When you've finished a book, you're standing in a different place; the landscape has changed. The narratives of Feminine Gospels play on ideas of gospel truth and tall stories.
