CandoCo (UK): Workshop demonstration, Microphobia, The Human Suite

In its quest for uniformity of bodies, professional dance has largely denied itself the vital aspect of diversity. But CandoCo is challenging these very confines by presenting integrated dance, a concept that puts disabled dancers alongside able-bodied ones. Their work provides evidence that dance and virtuosity are not only confined to the able-bodied – an apparent minus can easily become a plus. This year CandoCo will be running a one-week workshop which will be an unique opportunity for Hungarian dancers to collaborate in a joint performance. CandoCo will also perform their latest production. Members of the public may attend workshop sessions by arrangement.
