Ronald K. Brown calls his modern dance company Evidence, and evidence, in a way, is what Brown’s work is all about. His dances suggest rather than narrate stories. Long journeys across the stage and through time, his compositions are filled with encounters that provide clues to happenings in the worlds from which Brown has come. Ronald K. Brown/Evidence has presented work since 1985, performing in New York at: Performance Space 122, Dance Theater Workshop, Aaron Davis Hall. Evidence has also been seen at numerous venues and festivals in the US and abroad including: Lyon/Bienalle de la Danse, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, National Black Arts Festival, Colorado Dance Festival. ”As a choreographer, although i create contemporary dances, i am inspired by traditional rooted stories. I am constantly reaching back in order to understand where and who i am.” (R. K. Brown
