The Youngblood series continues as we keep are hands on the pulse of Europe, whilst the connection point remains the Trafó...

The Vessels was formed in 2005 in the legendary music scene of Leeds, from the former members of A Day Left, as a four-member band at the time.
Their second album, Helioscope is still rather fresh: it was released on 21 March, 2011 and was well received both amongst the fans and critics: it’s pleasant, easily received music with twists and layered elements that delight the finest of connoisseurs.
The Vessels play mostly instrumental music with the vocals – if present at all – slipping into the music through the course of the creative process just like any other instrument. They moved from experimental alternative rock towards more listener-friendly beats, and the complexity of the songs only reveals itself after several listens.
In 2010, they toured extensively as the opening act for Oceansize, as well as bands like Caribou, Efterklang, This Will Destroy You or Brett Anderson formerly of Suede, with regular appearances at the Brainwash, Leeds and Reading festivals.
