Our venture into the past continues with the re-staging of Temporary Title, a ’classic’ of Hungarian contemporary dance. The piece is re-created on the apropos of the company’s 20th birthday. Tranzdanz founded by Kovács Gerzson Péter has been a key company of the Hungarian dance scene for the past two decades. This is a unique opportunity to see how it all started, how a new language evolved, deconstructing the organic forms of folk dance and merging them with contemporary elements. The choreography will be performed by the original cast, with live music played by Dresch Mihály, Lőrinszky Attila and Gerőly Tamás. Putting nostalgia and anniversaries aside, this is a chance (perhaps the last) to see one of the most successful Hungarian contemporary dance pieces, presented at the International Choreogphers’ Meeting in Bagnolet (France) and invited to The Place (London) among others.
