Point of You has been selected into 2016 Priority Companies by Aerowaves

This performance is a personal and in the same time philosophical game of the two creators, about truth, co-existence, encounters and the possible conflicts of different point of views, parallel realities.

Point of You is a playful debate, an in-depth analysis of how you get lost in being right.
This duet is the first artistic collaboration of Ricardo Machado (PT) and Anna Réti.
Anna and Ricardo met in 2011 during the creation of Karine Ponties's 'Lamali Lokta, than in 2014 Ricardo performed in Ego Trip, the work of Anna and Ido Batash (IL).

‘There is only one thing you should never lose: the ability to change one’s point of view. The openness and readiness, as required, to alter your position, and see things from a different angle or in a different way. And, of course, the most important thing of all is that you, yourself, take these decisions into your own hands. As do Anna Réti and Ricardo Machado in this piece, controlling the music and lighting themselves, with only a laptop and a lighting desk located on one edge of the dance floor, and no-one else to help them. Because only you, not others, can present your own point of view and perspectives. From yourself, by yourself.’

‘As the slap that the President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker recently gave the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has been interpreted and evaluated in many ways by the media and the public, it is impossible to decide, because of the number of potentially different point of views, whether the re-occurring ‘fight’ that takes place between the dancers in ‘Point of you’ is full of brutal punches or gentle slaps , pre-meditated kicks or random collisions, whether it is a battle or a courtship.
The two dancers take situations that are ambiguous, can be interpreted differently (the ‘point of me’ and ‘point of you’), or can be seen from different angles (‘point of view’) - such as a cry of fear that could also be seen as a cry of laughter - and use the results and optical illusions created to trick the audience.   - www.tanckritika.hu
