Bea Palya, one of the most successful Hungarian singers, and András Dés, percussionist – their first feature-length concert. Two true performers. Melodies and rhythm. Magical energies, unique performances, intimate and soulful dialogues.
“As a musician and dancer, one of my oldest and everlasting desires – dating back to the time I was in tune with my mother’s heartbeat – was to get acquainted with the rhythm within my body and voice and to use it creatively. When walking down a street, I always interspersed my steps with claps and counted three after two, followed by five, or came up with idiotic, panting-like rhythmical rhymes while running. Then I yearned to learn various pulses and combinations of rhythms and to see how they treat timing in folk music and other similarly developed musical cultures... Dés András is a great companion on this journey, since I’ve been playing with him for years, but this is the first time the two of us are putting on an entire concert as a duo.” (Bea Palya)
