Tibor Lázár was known as the drummer of Zagar and the DJ Bootsie band. His album entitled My Rorschach was released under the pseudonym of Occam – domestically in March 2011 and in early October in foreign countries – and it’s no wonder that it was well received by the critics and audiences open to special music.
On this occasion, Occam doesn’t bash the hi-hats and thrill us with complicated drum patterns – in fact, he’s not even playing the drums in his own band. On his album, he’s created a very subtle, peculiar sounding, unique world which whisks the listener away with its hypnotic pulsating rhythms. The minimalist structure of this electronic music encompasses dub alongside jazz, experimental electronica and hip-hop. The characteristic thoughtful nature of the music, its special tonality and unique mood is what turns the ink stain imagery of Occam into a unified and unique whole. We get to see a new side of Enikő Hodosi of NEO in the band, since she’s singing in a style that’s entirely different from her previous approach. The cool trumpet solos and piano play of Árpád Kiss and the subtle guitar sounds of Bálint Kovács round off the sound of the live band. On this evening, the band will appear with a special show. Kemuri’s captivating video montage work will be supplemented by a unique performance and new visual elements. The evening’s guest soloist will be the – it’s safe to say world famous – trombone player, Zoltán Kiss (Mnozil Brass).
Hodosi Enikő – vocals, keyboards
Kiss Árpád – trumpet, keyboards
Kovács Bálint – guitar
Occam – sequences, effects
Kemuri – visuals
