Sena Dagadu has been a fixture of the Hungarian music scene since 2002 from hip-hop to contemporary renditions of Shakespeare.
Since her debut album First One in 2003, which was a milestone in the domestic hip-hop scene, Sena put her solo career on the backburner and spent the past 8 years showcasing her talent in various bands and musical collectives. Starting with the Gimmeshot Crew, she played in the groups Kamu and Skeg, made music with the likes of Dzihan & Kamien, Dj Vadim and Zagarral and then joined the bands Irie Maffia and Barabás Lőrinc Eklektric. Her latest project is WH, in which she performs Shakespeare sonnets with improvised music. Sena returns in solo with an entirely new show, which is mostly chaterized by soul, blues and a hint of rock. The new projekt is made for the international scene with the help of a French producer group and even the debut concert took place in Aix-en-Provance. The album will be released in 2012. On this occasion, Sena will be accompanied by the musicians of Irie Maffia.
