Followers of the Hungarian experimental music scene are probably familiar with the work of the musicians and media artists Gida Labus and elod janky (Alley Catss) and have encountered their performances separately. NEXTFEST will be the first time they perform together, sharing time, space and stage, to build their unique and complex soundscapes layer by layer. They invite listeners into a distinctive and unrepeatable sonic universe, which they shape collectively on this evening. Randomness and improvisation are key to the soundscapes they co-create, which constantly shift and transform with their focus.

Gida Labus is a media artist-composer who has been making time-based anti-narrative works and more recently solo live acts.
