Light dictates the boundaries of visible space, and helps to create illusions. It brings sensuality to environments and breathes new life into objects. The designer Veronika Fazekas chose as a research topic for her 2016 master thesis at MOME the relationship between these elusive effects and experimental jewellery. How can light prevail in the context of jewellery? How can it enrich the human body and objects worn on the body? How can it become part of movement in a physical space? The MEDIAL JEWELRY site-specific performance makes an attempt to create a unique fusion of dance, light, space and jewellery.
