The aim of the conference is to gather both professionals and audience members interested in the possibilities of merging the fields of movement and new technologies. 

Participants will listen to relevant Artistic Case Studies from artists and collaborators around the V4 region and a ‘Roundtable discussion’ around how these crossovers could contribute to audience development, new creations and innovations in the V4 region. Those arriving at 18:00 can network and visit an interactive installation connecting to the topic of the conference.

Speakers of the conference will include:
Andrea Kovács (HU) - art manager, curator of Trafó House of Contemporary Arts’ smART! program series and co-curator of Zsolnay Light Festival
Nina Kov (HU) - choreographer, drone-choreographer and movement director, a 2016 recipient of the New Europe 100 award, and choreographed Kristof Deák’s 2017 Oscar® winning short film “Mindenki” (Sing)
Richi Owaki (JP) - video engineer and mediaturge from Japan, winner of Jaguar Asia Tech Art Prize, Art Taipei 2015
Agnieszka Kubicka-Dzieduszycka (PL) - curator, international project manager of WRO Center (Wroclaw), curatorial director of media art at the Sapporo International Art Festival in Japan

STELLA (Somatic Tech Live LAb) is a long-term project initiated by Ziggurat Project, that aims to create an international cooperation between professionals (from the fields of performing arts, visual and media arts and technology) who work on the development of the field of movement and technology in the V4 region. This conference is part of the first edition of STELLA’s dance&tech program series that takes place on the 29-31st of March 2020 at Trafó in Budapest also including workshops (here and here), performances and other forms of professional exchange

The project is co- financed by the Governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.
