How is the history of violence manifested in weapons manufacturing and national defense intertwined with urban development?
We begin the last day of the focus with a 90-minute walk through the city's history, led by Ambrus Gönczi (Ferencváros Local History Collection), during which we will learn how the history of the 9th district has been intertwined with the development of the Hungarian military industry and national defense since the end of the 19th century; from large-scale arms manufacturing and military barracks to the national defense hospital that cared for the wounded of the 1848-49 war of independence.
External venue: Arzenál (1095 Budapest, Soroksári út 158/C) - Meeting point: at the corner of Kén Street and Soroksári Road
