The Newcastle-based collective :zoviet*france: has spent over 40 years exploring and pushing the boundaries of music, both in their recordings and live performances. Their sound is instrumental, though not song-based, featuring an eclectic mix of electronic and acoustic instruments, often layered with field recordings. While intentionally underground, their music has garnered a global following, with over 20 albums released and collaborations with various contemporary dance companies worldwide.
Júlia Heéger, soprano of the Finnish National Opera, and Sándor Vály, an audiovisual artist, have been working together since 2017, creating joint works in audiovisual concerts, exhibitions, and sound installations. Their projects blend conceptual experimental music, fusing classical and contemporary vocal and musical elements with industrial, noise, and drone genres. Their themes are defined by text and poetry, as well as the historical, social, and intellectual contexts that shape them.
Prell, a.k.a. Péter Márton, has been a key figure in Budapest's underground electronic music scene since the 2000s, both as an outsider and a driving force within the community. He composes for contemporary dance performances and theater productions and teaches at the University of Pécs’s Faculty of Music and Visual Arts, focusing on electronic music and media art.
