Abul Mogard

Fictional character created in 2010 by Guido Zen, with an identity of a retired senior steel factory worker from Belgrade (Serbia), who makes music reminiscent of his workspace, as a means to feel connected again.

"Abul Mogard approached music in old age. He was born in Belgrade and spent most of his life working in a Serbian factory. When he retired, he felt that his accustomed environment with all the acoustic noises he had been listening to during his working years, was gone. Music was a way to somehow recreate these surroundings, and not having a formal musical education he realized that using electronic musical instruments would make this possible. These machines could also make similar sounds to the ones he remembered. He started working with synthesizers and other devices, some of which he has built himself over the past few years."

Zságer Balázs – Aqua Obscura

“Come away, O human child
To the waters and the wild
With a faery, hand in hand
For the world's more full of weeping
than you can understand.” - W.B. Yeats

The concept of Zságer's debut album based on the mystical fables and rituals about water. Water plays a central role in the practice of many folklore legends and myths. The songs of ’Aqua Obscura’ are inspired by the ancient Hungarian folklore and the Nordic and Pagan mythology. Zságer leads his listeners through the seven seas and hazy forest lakes with the help of mythical creatures, occult rituals and otherworldly phenomena. Dorina Takács (Дeva) also contributes to one of the album's tracks and she will be guest vocalist at the concert as well.

Zságer Balázs, keyboardist-producer, label owner is an iconic figure of the Hungarian electronic music scene since 00'. As the leader and mastermind of Žagar he produced four studio albums and many soundtracks, his unique tracks was remixed by producers like Deadbeat, Minilogue and Vakula among others. His first solo album will be released  in March. In his live acts he is performing on multiple synthesizers and hardwares, to create dream-like and other-worldly sonic worlds. His pulsing compositions often feel as powerful and confronting as they organic and tender meanwhile he try to keep his listener in a continuous hypnotic flow.
