Choreographer Júlia Vavra is preparing a new show with the support of the Staféta program. COLD-BLOODED MARE is a horror-inspired musical dance performance that draws on and haunts the complex systems of Hungarian national identity and folk culture. Júlia Vavra's creative partners are lighting designer Júlia Mohácsi, musician Áron Porteleki, and visual artist Luca Petrányi.
Júlia Vavra is a contemporary dancer, performer, and choreographer living in Budapest. She studied contemporary dance at the Budapest Contemporary Dance Academy and choreography at the School for New Dance Development in Amsterdam. She currently works as a performer and choreographer in productions in Hungary and abroad.
