Open Studio

Led by Koni 007

The workshop is free, registration here: jegypenztar@trafo.hu

Once a month, on Mondays, Trafó opens its Liliom Street dance studio to all those who love to move. Each time, a different choreographer or dancer shares some of their favorite practices. The aim is not necessarily to learn a choreography, but to move together, to recharge, to learn from each other, together. Just come as you are. The workshop is free, but places are limited, so please RSVP quickly to jegypenztar@trafo.hu

Koni Rácz's thoughts on the workshop:

"At the workshop, participants could learn about the history and origins of ballroom culture, and then learn the five elements of vogue fem during a technical foundation session. After that, they could experiment with their creativity through various tasks and get a taste of what a vogue session is like. Supporting each other and pushing the boundaries of our comfort zones a little, we danced together."

Koni is a dancer, one of the leaders of the Hungarian ballroom scene, organizer of the Anybody Walking ballroom event series, vogue dance teacher, and LGBTQ+ activist. She has been building the ballroom scene in Hungary for nearly 10 years by teaching vogue, organizing community sessions, workshops, ballroom functions, and balls. She is actively involved in the fight against homophobia, transphobia, racism, gender stereotypes, and misogyny.
