Anton Lachky's latest choreography for the dancers of the Central Europe Dance Theatre takes us into a world of contrasts, connecting generations and cultures, and transporting us to a series of stories where anything seems possible. It swirls like water, sometimes softly enveloping you and caressing you with a light loving touch, sometimes surging madly and sucking you in with its power.
We can enjoy the crazy speed, virtuosity and colourful scenes of the choreography. Then, after the applause, we can search for answers as to why all this is appealing, while knowing that it is unsustainable, just as the pace of the work is often pushed to the limit. So how do we move on with our lives?
Anton Lachky was born in Slovakia and trained as a dancer at P.A.R.T.S. under the direction of A.Teresa de Keersmeaker (Belgium). From 2004 he was a member of the world famous Akram Khan Company for two years, after which he co-founded Les SlovaKs Dance Collective. With their three works, the collective has gained a significant international reputation. In 2012 Anton founded his own ensemble. He won an award from the Minister of Culture for his work "Mind the Gap". His work mixes elements of Western contemporary dance with Eastern European folk and pop culture. In addition to her own company, she also focuses on creating in marginal areas of dance to contribute to its development (Costa Rica, Helsinki, Zagreb, Gothenburg, Salzburg, Budapest, etc.). He has now created his third choreography with KET dancers.

The pieces of KET's unique repertoire strive for actuality and reflectivity. They chose the diverse language of contemporary dance to raise the problems that arise in everyday life and to formulate the answers to them. KET, as it advertises in its name, undertakes to be tied to a specific geographical region, the Carpathian Basin and its region not only define the main area of its operation, but also the unique world of movement and choice of topics.
