Pictographs is a dance solo danced by the choreographer himself. The musicians playing on stage are his partners in prompting a dialogue between movements and music, showing the virtuosity of both genres.
Ferenc Kovács (Dresch Quartet, Djabe, Balogh Kálmán Gipsy Cimbalom Band) is the composer of the sound score. His fellow musicians include: Antal Tabányi on violin and Csaba Novák on contrabass, as well as Kálmán Oláh, violinist and soloist. In 2003 TranzDanz performed Pictographs at the Festival of Dance (Veszprém/Hungary) where the jury acknowledged Gerzson Péter Kovács as the Best Male Performer. Pictographs has toured to Amsterdam and Hamburg among other venues.
