Gaëlle Bisellach-Roig (B): Débordement

0 Ft

Dancer and juggler, her choreography for maces is built on movements that are brought near the audience with the help of video projection. Thus an escape to fantasy-world is made possible. Gaëlle Bisellach-Roig’s two co-authors are Severine Bessac and Laure Couturier, together they make vivid this vision wrapped in soft light and music, this fantasy world dreamed around the blurred contours of the body…

After the perfromance we will show a dancefilm.

Amélia is the screen version of Edouard Lock’s Salt, and is one of his most recent collaborations with the La La La Human Steps Company. The internationally highly acclaimed Salt is, as far as its style is concerned, truly a contemporary piece although it employs classical techniques. It is re-dreamed in the studio for the sake of the film. Virtuoso duets follow one another almost overlapping, filled with such tenseness that escalates the performance’s poignant nature and sublimeness to the extremes. This adaptation has been awarded numerous prizes, among them the ‘Golden Rose’ of the 2004 Montreaux Festival, in the ‘peculiar arts’ category.
