Program: 25. Fennesz (A), Radian (A), Thilges3 (A) 26. Pluramon (D) & Julee Cruise (USA), Antony (USA), Bohren und Der Club of Gore (D) 27.Thighpaulsandra (UK), Jesu (USA), Flying Luttenbachers (USA)
25 March Guitar- and laptop-artist Fennesz combines melancholic, broken melodies and the processes and glitches of computer generated sound, leading to a new definition of beauty. He collaborated with many important figures of the avantgarde, one of the latest among them is David Sylvian.
Viennese trio Radian (synth, bass, drums and computers) uses the tactics of juxtaposition: rock, post rock and free improvisation meet minutely elaborated digital samples, found sounds and noise. They use their instruments in a radical way, but at the same time offer points of identification for the listener.
The aim of an other Austrian trio, Thilges3 is the acoustic exploration and alteration of public spaces, and confronting the audiences with a new type of sensibility. After their enchanting performance in the Synagogue of Szeged in 2003’s UH Fest, it’s now Trafó that inspires the group for a new beginning.
Julee Cruise, the diva and singer you know from Twin Peaks joins Pluramon, the group lead by Marcus Schmickler, renowned member of the special avant-garde community of Cologne. Together they created an improbably charming avant-pop-rock-noise album, Dreams Top Rock, a surprise record of 2003.
“Listening to Antony's voice is like hearing Elvis for the first time: two words and he has broken your heart…” – said Laurie Anderson of the incomparable, soulful and disorienting avant-cabaret singer, who was discovered by Current 93’s David Tibet, and accompanied Lou Reed on albums and tours. He will be accompanied with piano and guitar.
The members of Bohren und Der Club of Gore started their music career with heavy metal and hardcore, but in 1992 they invented their own style: dark, thrilling and beautiful jazz, slowed down to the point of implausibility. Listening to them evokes the picture of a gloomy, haunted jazz lounge.

Thighpaulsandra is a collaborator of Julian Cope and member of the psychedelic legend Spiritualized and of the late Coil, the godfathers of experimental music. His music is an eccentric journey between prog-, kraut- and spacerock, pop, ambient, improvisation, noise, and more. His subversive shows are to be seen to be believed.
Justin Broadrick’s legendary Godflesh inspired thousands with its slow industrial metal filled with torturing feedback and low-pitched bass; in numerous projects he played everything from distorted hip hop to cold ambient. Jesu is the true successor of the disbanded Godflesh, a bit closer the the rock roots.
Flying Luttenbachers, an ever-changing group of musicians lead by multi-instrumentalist drummer Weasel Walter is fiercely aimed at destroying the complacency of music and musicians. They de(con)struct even the styles that most influenced them: punk, free jazz, death metal... Their anger and power really bites when they play live.
