CLAUDIO STELLATO (I):

The laws of physics might put in a few complaints about this performance. The events that take place on the dark stage play a trick on our eyes and perception. A balance is established in the most unlikely of situations. We must venture beyond the boundaries of our body, where the inanimate objects come to life and reality becomes twisted. Object and body become equivalents. But watch out: they’ll trick you! The secret lies in the darkness!

Three whole years (!) on the research of movement led up to the new piece presented in March, focusing on the subject of the relationship between body and object. This investigation/research generated a special language of movement, developed through the creation of a naïve figure and the surrounding objects (a kind old chest of drawers and a stubborn cabinet). Circus, dance and object theatre are all mixed into one. The Other is the continuation of a being or body in an object, a hybrid form, which highlights the performing strength of furniture through the oddity of simple matters.
