Forte Company presents - Nigel Charnock: Revolution

In the frame of Festival Temps d’Images:

International director and choreographer Nigel Charnock warmly embraces Hungary to create a new dance theatre piece called Revolution.This intensely physical, beautifully dramatic work is inspired by all revolutionaries of the world, and is a celebration of the human spirit and the search for freedom.



Nigel Charnock's work is an act of total theatre, using any means necessary to communicate to an audience. Nigel makes theatre which is seriously funny, uplifting, outrageous and wonderfully human. Combining text, movement, song and dance, Revolution will be a thunderously joyful expression of what it means to fight for liberty and love. Inspired by Hungary's turbulent history, Nigel proposes to use some Hungarian poetry and music (Sándor Petőfi etc.) to make the piece particular to Hungary and he will draw on his reactions to its culture and national identity.
Revolution is an army of lovers storming sadness and showing that freedom is free.
