The Little Cow Melancholics are more than a mere theatrical, acoustic version of the former Little Cow. The range of instruments is widened with the addition of a few special, mainly classical musical instruments. Violin, cello, vibraphone, piano, and renaissance percussion instruments are all used at their concerts.
Their songs were written especially for the Melancholics. On the whole, the performance of the Little Cow Melancholics diffuses a range of very human and upbeat moods thanks to the songs and their highly individual musical performances.
