The programme is in Hungarian.
Contemporary Fables come to life at the traditional, grand-scale, pan-arts pre-New Years party of litera, the Pulitzer Prize-winning literary portal.
In September, litera opened the gates of the National Zoo, allowing writers – by taking turns until the end of December – to fill this virtual space with real and imaginary animals, painting a vivid picture of today’s world. Regardless of whether the inspiration is Aesop, La Fontaine or the Hungarian Heltai Gáspár, the eminent talents of Hungarian literature make the moral of the story clear.
The evening concludes in a slam-party where well-known slammers, dj’s and vj’s improvise to the fable-theme.
