The Hungarian literary portal litera.hu asked five well-known Hungarian (contemporary) authors - HÁY János, TASNÁDI István, ERDŐS Virág, GARACZI László, and FORGÁCH András - to write a drama together by taking turns. The surreal, yet typically Eastern European adventures of students from the language school of the unemployed unfold one after the other as they write their scenes.
The text/play comes to life at the premier of Magyar Staféta (Hungarian Relay) in the form of a lecture performance directed by Keszég László. Natália, the retired midwife, Szilvia, the middle-aged, star-crossed mother and wife on the verge of a nervous breakdown, Erika, the dream-serial killer, Kriszta, the sexy actress wannabe and Laci, the English teacher make you laugh and think, provoking and opening eyes to Hungarian reality by employing the best of the Eastern European grotesque literary tradition.
