Khon is a traditional form of Thai stage dance performance, which was traditionally
performed exclusively by men at the royal court wearing distinctive masks. The performance
is accompanied by a drumbeat and is based on four characters: men, women, monkeys
and demons.
The participants of the workshop can familiarize themselves with the basics of the khon
technique, working with one of the four main characters, the demon, under the supervision
of the most innovative Thai dancer, Pichet Klunchun.
