Stian Westerhus is the wunderkind of the new generation of young Norwegian musicians. He appeared in the band Puma playing purely improvizational music and the profession audience and the international press gave him praise at once. He is still a member of Puma, although he gives many solo concerts and workshops all across the world and is a regular guest of Ulver, Arve Henriksen’s band named Supersilent, as well as taking over from Eivind Aarset in Nils Petter Molvaer’s trio; he is also the partner of Kenneth Kapstad in Monolithic as well as putting on duo concerts with Sidsel Endresen, Helge Sten, Terje Isungset and Zach Hill (Hella).

Trixie Whitley, who is best-known as the singer of Black Dub, took to the stage for the first time at three years of age, at the concert of her singer-songwriter father, Chris Whitley. Trixie was born in Belgium in 1987 and she spent her childhood in New York before moving to Europe when she turned 11 where she began touring as the member of numerous dance and theater companies (Kopergieterij, Victoria, Les Ballets C de la B) a year later as a drummer / singer / actor / dancer, until she turned 15, when she decided to focus solely on music. She worked with Meshell Ndgeocello, Marc Ribot, Robert Plant, as well as getting acquainted with the Grammy Award-winning producer, Daniel Lanois (U2, Bob Dylan, Neil Young), who invited her to sing in the newly formed band known as Black Dub.
