YEUNG FAÏ:

2200 Ft / Student: 1800Ft / Season Ticket is valid
The performance is recommended from age 10.

Chinese Yeung Faï, born in 1964 is a member of the family’s fifth generation that has been
dealing with traditional Chinese puppeteering. He has been learning his trade from his
father since the age of four, who experienced a terrible fate at the time of the Cultural
Revolution. Yeung Faï is currently living in Hong Kong, tirelessly practicing his trade and
becoming one of the most significant puppet-fashioning artists. Debuting in early 2011,
Hand Stories recounts the tale of Yeung Faï’s father and the way he was arrested at the
time of the Cultural Revolution and declared a traitor of the system, since the enthusiastic
believers of the Revolution completely disregarded the tradition he followed. Yeung Faï’s
father didn’t survive his prison ordeal.
