NEXTFEST 2025 X-mas Special: Early bird festival passes until 31 December 2024
NEXTFEST, Trafó’s festival for emerging artists and experimental forms is back again between 5-9 March 2025, with a great selection of cutting-edge works, ranging from contemporary dance, performance and theater to visual arts and cross-disciplinary practices — this time not only in Trafó, but also in public spaces and special locations across the city!
If you’d like to see Viktor Szeri's latest group piece I Quit Ordinary Dancing, gergő d. farkas's solo babes (selected for Aerowaves 2025), would like to get to know Csaba Molnár's alterego Nicole Clore, learn more about the "sets" the young AHA Collective is devising as a way of sustaining their collaborative practice, want to get a glimpse into the developments of the experimental performance scene with Richárd Melykó & Haibo Illés and the National Performance Theatre Collective (Noémi Noya Szántusz, Mikolt Tózsa, Zsófia Rebeka Kozma), and see how young Roma theatremakers such as Emília Boda-Novy / Independent Theater address historical injustice... then all you have to do is book your early bird festival pass that will grant you access to the full 5-day programme (almost all events are English-friendly)!
NEXTFEST also includes newcomers who are participating in the festival for the first time, such as the performance-makers Maja Juhász & Luca Kovács, who develop their funny and witty work in episodes (their March edition will be a special one as it’s English-friendly!), the choreographer Zsófia Szász, who masterfully crochets not only her costumes, but also movements and thoughts, the cross-disciplinary artist Dorottya Szonja Koltay who creates outspoken feminist art in public spaces, and the visual arts collective Project833 who do site-specific interventions on unusual urban locations or natural environments, preferably on solstices. And this is just a sneak peek into the programme!
If we’ve grabbed your interest, make sure to book your early bird festival pass (limited edition) for our X-mas Special price 15.000 HUF until 31 December 2024!
The full festival line-up with the final programme and more infos will be published mid-January. Stay tuned!
