In the frame of the series Choreographers On New Tracks
POST-SHOW DISCUSSION
On 25 January Attila Nemes, program adviser at Kitchen Budapest, will be talking with Chris Haring, the choreographer, after the performance (in English with Hungarian translation).
In Talking Head, Austrian choreographer Chris Haring and his group Liquid Loft comment divinely and humorously on the communications craziness resulting from facebook, twitter, skype & co. Realities are constantly being reinvented and bodies, sounds and languages contorted, copied or transformed into language sculptures. In an entertaining and intelligent way, Talking Head shows the desire for real identification in the midst of a flood of digital information and images. In their performances and installations, Liquid Loft interconnect contemporary dance directly with other forms of contemporary art, in order to create a cohesive all-embracing piece of art. Their idiosyncratic visual and formal language, their distinctive acoustic stage-sets and professional dance production have earned Liquid Loft international recognition and many awards.
Performance, Choreography: Stephanie Cumming, Luke Baio
Artistic Direction, Choreography: Chris Haring
Sound, Composition: Andreas Berger
Stage and Light Design: Thomas J. Jelinek
Set Design: Gerald Priewasser
Production Management, Research: Marlies Pucher
Technical Direction: Roman Harrer
Video Technics: Ella Esque, Niki Passath
Theory, Text: Fritz Ostermayer
Video: Michael Loizenbauer
A production by Liquid Loft in collaboration with Tanzquartier Wien.
Liquid Loft is supported by MA 7 Kulturabteilung Stadt Wien, BMUKK for Unterricht Kunst und Kultur.
