Antré 5 // AVOEC PERFORMANCE (USA-BR): RMQS

1000 HUF
Luiza Moraes and Lori Baldwin established AVOEC after meeting in Budapest in 2013. AVOEC creates work that disrupts binaries and embraces uncertainty, all the time pushing the experimental boundaries of traditional art making.
‘Antré’, a new event series initiative by Trafó and the Workshop Foundation, offers the possibility for young contemporary dance artists with a fresh perspective to be showcased at Trafó Studio.

RMQS (Raising My Queer Self) is a versatile performance that combines text, movement, sound, presence and absence as it engages with issues surrounding being queer - particularly within the process of growing up in an environment that is not accepting of a non-hetero identity, using the artists' personal experiences and questions. The artists explore the interstices of the lived moment, and open up our perception to all that exists in the situation.
