without me, without you, together
„God, I hate eating dinner alone. It’s like being dead!” – Richard Brautigan
People living in this block of flats are exactly the same, to those who are living in the other blocks. They eat. They drink. They sit. They walk. They listen to music. They watch movies. They star out the window. They listen to the pipelines’ boom and their neighbour’s sounds filtering through / seeping the walls. They digest. There’s something on their minds.
In the piece, which got the Trafó award of the II. TITÁNium Talent Search Platform, Ádám Fekete shows „tableau vivants” about neighbours, families and lonely people living next to each other. He tells stories about a woman, who owns an empty restaurant, her son, who doesn’t talk, his doctor, who cannot help and a husband, who tries to flee his wife. He tells stories about an alcoholic physiotherapist and hobby musicians.
